Canada lags U.S. in female directorships
Over the past 12 years, the number of female directors on boards of the largest 300 Canadian companies has fluctuated between 6% and 8%. In comparison, the number of female directors on U.S. boards has been steadily increasing and is now at 14.7%. Moreover, 84% of U.S. companies have at least one female director, compared with only 48% of Canadian companies.
