Nomination Submission Guidelines
Nominators may submit nominations for more than one individual.
Self-nominations will also be accepted.
Completed nominations (including supporting materials) must be received
by Business in Vancouver no later than 5:00pm, December 3rd 2010.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Nominee must be female.
2. Nominee must be based in British Columbia.
3. Nominees must be available to attend the awards luncheon in the spring of
2011
Nomination Form Questions (Limit of 200 words per question.):
1. Full contact information of nominee.
2. Tell us about the nominee's professional achievements. Suggestions:
describe her most significant professional accomplishment, or include past
distinctions and awards. (Limit 200 words)
3. Tell us about the nominee's involvement in the business community.
Suggestions: include any professional designations or professional memberships.
Is the nominee involved in any business mentorship programs? Does the nominee
sit on the board of any professional organizations or associations? (Limit
200 words)
4. Tell us about the nominee's level of expertise in her field. Suggestions:
include her educational qualifications, the name of the institution she
graduated from, years of experience in her field, or any industry distinctions
or awards. (Limit 200 words)
5. Tell us about the nominee's level of influence and power within her
company, industry, or the business community. Suggestions: does the nominee sit
on any corporate boards? Explain how her company (or industry) has developed as
a result of the nominee's leadership, influence, and innovation. (Limit 200
words)
6. Tell us how the nominee is a leader in advocating for women in business.
Suggestion: Is she a member of any women's business organization or sit on the
Board of Directors for such an organization? Does she participate in any
professional mentoring programs specifically for women? Has she advocated for
women in business within her own organization? (Limit 200 words)
7. Tell us what makes this nominee unique or outstanding? (Limit 200
words)

Supporting Materials:
Supporting materials are mandatory as part of the nomination package. Documents
may be submitted via:

Awards, 102 East 4th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V5T 1G2.
1. Submit at least two letters (four maximum) of support for this nomination.
Suggestion: The most effective letters of support come from a variety of
sources. Letters of support should be no more than one page each.
2. Please include an up-to-date copy of the nominee's Curriculum Vitae. (Maximum
three pages.)
