Engine Digital, a Vancouver web and mobile web design company, is making the move into the U.S. by opening an office in New York City.

Engine Digital CEO Stephen Beck said the company already has a number of clients in the U.S., and New York will give the agency access to a substantial market.

Some of Engine Digital’s American clients include Bravo TV, MTV and the NBA.

“Expanding to New York isn’t just putting us on the East Coast, it’s also putting us in a market that’s much bigger,” Beck told Business in Vancouver. “It’s putting us at the centre of advertising, the centre of media, entertainment, the centre of publishing.”

Beck will be relocating to New York next week to run a two-person office.

Engine Digital develops both platforms and campaigns for web and mobile channels. The company was founded in 2002.
