Vancouver is the seventh most popular destination for people moving within Canada, according to the U-Haul. The moving company’s annual Top 50 Destination Cites survey found Calgary is ranked No. 1 for 2015, receiving more U-Haul one-way rentals than any other Canadian city.
Toronto, Edmonton, Montreal and Ottawa completed the top five. Toronto, which was the top destination for U-Haul trucks from 2002-11 and again in 2013, climbed two spots after slipping to fourth in 2014.
Vancouver’s No. 7 ranking was behind London, Ontario, but ahead of Hamilton, Victoria and Kitchener in the top 10. Surrey was ranked No. 16, while Kelowna was in the No. 25 spot, Abbotsford ranked No. 30 and Langley No. 42 as the other B.C. cities in the top 50 destinations.
