First-quarter revenue for Vancouver's Uniserve Communications Corp. (TSX-V:USS) jumped 51.3% due mainly to the company's acquisition of Knowledge Based Telephony Systems Corp. and Parasun Technologies Inc.
Uniserve revenue rose to $8.9 million for the period ending August 31, 2007, compared with $5.9 million in 2006's first quarter.
However, the company absorbed a net loss for the quarter, due mainly to increased amortization and one-time charges associated with its acquisitions at the end of the fourth quarter.
Uniserve's share price range during the past week: between $0.54 and $0.57; 52-week high: $0.80; 52-week low: $0.35.
