One of the world's largest notebook computer manufacturers will be incorporating the computer theft recovery system developed by Vancouver's Absolute Software Corp. (TSX:ABT).

All Asus business notebooks will be embedded with Absolute's Computrace system, patented, firmware-based anti-theft and tracking software.

Computrace allows laptop owners to track and manage computers on a network or in the field, remotely delete sensitive information, physically recover lost or stolen computers, remotely inventory software licences and other security-related applications.

The program will be included as part of the Asus B50 laptop and can be activated by the computer owner after buying a subscription to Absolute's security services.

Absolute's Computrace system is now embedded in computers by all the major laptop computer developers, including Dell, Fujitsu, MPC, HP, Lenovo, Panasonic, Toshiba and many others.

Absolute's share price range during the past week: between $3.20 and $5.75; 52-week high: $20.325; 52-week low: $2.75.
