Kelowna's Sun-Rype Products Ltd. (TSX:SRF) reported a second -quarter profit of $2.7 million or $0.25 per share
That's compared with a net loss of $5.1 million or $0.47 per share for the same period in 2008.
While Sun-Rype's revenue remained stable at $35.4 million in 2009's second quarter compared with $33.1 million in 2008's second quarter, the company drastically cut its expenses and sales costs.
Sun-Rype, which manufactures and markets all of its juices and fruit snacks under the Sun-Rype brand, reported expenses of $6.5 million last quarter, a reduction of $3.6 million in expenses from the same period last year.
Sun-Rype's share price this week ranged between $9.10 and $8.80; 52-week high: $9.39; 52-week low: $4.29
