Vancouver's Boston Pizza Royalties Income Fund (TSX:BPF.UN) has added the 25 new restaurants it opened in 2008 to its royalty pool.
The additions will increase the total annual gross franchise revenue earned from the 323 restaurants in the fund by $43.8 million and generate an additional $1.8 million in royalty revenue.
Since 2002, Boston Pizza has opened 172 restaurants across the country, most of them in Central Canada.
During its third quarter ending September 30, 2008, the fund reported royalty revenue of $6.8 million, up from $6.2 million during the same period last year. Gross restaurant sales rose to $170.8 million from $156.1 million.
