The December RBC Canadian consumer outlook survey suggests British Columbians have the highest levels of job anxiety in the country.
The survey found that 29% of B.C. workers are worried about their job security, which is higher than the national average of 21%. According to the survey, job anxiety in December fell in every other province except B.C.
British Columbians are also the most likely to say their personal financial situation is worse than it was three months ago and the least optimistic about their financial situation over the next three months.
As a result, the survey suggested British Columbians are the least likely to shop for January post-holiday deals.
