Burnaby electronics retailer rolls into Atlantic Canada

Burnaby-headquartered Best Buy Canada Ltd. is expanding in Eastern Canada with its first store in Atlantic Canada and a new store in Ontario by the end of November.

Burnaby-headquartered Best Buy Canada Ltd. is expanding in Eastern Canada with its first store in Atlantic Canada and a new store in Ontario by the end of November.

The electronics retailer plans to hire 100 part-time and full-time staff for each store. The openings will expand the number of Best Buy stores to 50 across Canada.

The company will be launching job fairs in two communities where the new stores will be located: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and Kanata, Ontario.

Best Buy Canada, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Best Buy Co. Inc. (NYSE:BBY), also owns Future Shop.

Future Shop opened its 126th store in Guelph, Ontario, in August.
