If campgrounds in B.C. were packed in previous years, campers are not likely to think much different about this year’s camping season.
BC Parks’ Discover Camping reservation service is opening earlier this year and making more campsite bookings accessible online in response to public demand.
Campers can book reservations online for the first time for all group campsites and the Bowron Lake canoe circuit.
Reservations for front-country campgrounds and the Berg Lake trail will start two weeks earlier than usual, on March 15.
B.C.’s Ministry of Environment believes the changes will result in more timely service and fewer delays in processing reservations for the most popular long weekends in the summer.
