CHC Helicopter Corp. (TSX:FLY) subsidiary Heli-One has signed a maintenance support contract with Brazilian charter airline Lider Taxi Aereo SA.
Under the deal, Lider will send major component units to Heli-One for overhaul that can include main, intermediate and tail gearboxes. Other major components from the company's fleet of Sikorsky S76, Bell 212 and Bell 421 helicopters will also be overhauled.
Lider, which has been in the business for more than 48 years, is one of South America's largest private aircraft operators.
Heli-One is one of the world's largest helicopter support companies. It provides engine and component repair and overhaul for 20 different types of aircraft.
