Computer systems maker reports improved second-quarter results

Vancouver's Versatile Systems Inc. (TSX-V:VV) reported an 8.1% increase in quarterly revenue and net profits of more than a half million dollars for its second quarter ending December 31, 2007.

Vancouver's Versatile Systems Inc. (TSX-V:VV) reported an 8.1% increase in quarterly revenue and net profits of more than a half million dollars for its second quarter ending December 31, 2007.

Second-quarter revenue for the developer and manufacturer of sales and distribution computer systems rose to $18.5 million from $17.1 million in the same period last year. Net earnings for the quarter increased to $686,299, up from $178,828 in the previous year's second quarter.

The company has been focusing on improving profitability through sales of higher margin products.
