Prestigious international travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler released its inaugural list of its readers’ five favourite cities in Canada October 13, and Vancouver ranked No. 2 behind Quebec City.

Vancouver Island scored top spot in the magazine’s first list of its readers’ favourite Canadian islands.

Condé Nast Traveler’s 28,876 readers cast 270,000 votes on everything from favourite destinations to airlines and hotels.

B.C. hotels and resorts ranked disproportionally high among the magazine’s readers, with 27 hotels and resorts ranking the 60 most popular in the country.

B.C. scored the top five resorts in Canada, according to those readers. They are, in order, along with their score:

  • Rosewood, B.C.’s King Pacific Lodge (97.0);
