Former Mainframe Entertainment CEO Rick Mischel has launched Reach Games, a new video game developer services company based in Vancouver.
Reach's business game plan is to provide art, design, modelling, animation and other services to video game developers and publishers. It will also co-develop casual and handheld games.
The company's executive will include other former Mainframe executives: Ali Kojori, who led Mainframe's game division, will be Reach's general manager; Michael Douglas, former head of Mainframe's creative services division, will be Reach's art director.
Ivan Allan, who worked on such games as Electronic Arts' NBA Live and Need for Speed franchises and helped develop Nokia's mobile game platform business, will be Reach's senior producer.
