The Business Development Bank of Canada has launched a new program to provide B.C.'s winemakers with more flexible financing options.

The Business Development Bank of Canada has launched a new program to provide B.C.'s winemakers with more flexible financing options.

Recognizing that the wine business is a seasonal industry with revenue that can fluctuate year to year, the BDC is offering financing that can cover up to 125% of costs associated with business development.

Loans will be available to install new equipment or facilities, launch marketing initiatives, undertake research and development and explore export opportunities.

Loans will also be available for winemakers interested in expanding their business by building on-site guest accommodations, spa, tasting rooms or restaurants.
