GrowLab has announced it is now accepting applications for its 2012 spring accelerator program, which runs from May 21 until August 21.
The Vancouver-based organization funds tech startups and entrepreneurs, with a focus on those working in web, mobile, e-commerce, social gaming and software.
Entrepreneurs accepted into the program receive up to $25,000 and are eligible to receive an additional $150,000 from Business Development Canada (BDC).
GrowLab was co-founded by a small group of investors and entrepreneurs from Canada and Silicon Valley. They are currently touring Canada and Europe, holding networking events to get in touch with local tech communities.
The program will take place in Vancouver, with the companies having access to successful startup mentors from around the world. They will be provided with office space for the three-month period.
All teams will spend two weeks in Silicon Valley to build relationships with entrepreneurs and investors there.
GrowLab said applicants do not need to send a business plan but need to have a clear idea of what it is they want to build.
The organization accepts applications through its website, growlab.ca, and says already-established companies as well as those who are still at the idea stage can apply.
GrowLab could not be reached for comment by press deadline.
