BMO Financial Group employees in B.C. and Yukon raised $1,158,352 during the BMO Employee Charitable Foundation 2009-10 fundraising campaign.
RED FM raised $200,000 for Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation in support of the Oh Baby appeal for a new maternity ward.
Sing and Patricia Yeo and Miriam Yu, members of Tapestry Foundation for Health Care’s fundraising committee, donated $20,000 to support cardiac care equipment needs at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital. A further donation of $10,000 was made to the foundation by Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 177 to support an extensive garden renovation project at Brock Fahrni Pavilion, a veterans’ residential care facility.
Canadian Western Bank Group donated $5,000 to YWCA Vancouver to support Emma’s Early Learning and Care Centre, a program that enables teenage mothers to complete high school while their children are cared for on-site.
New World Natural Foods donated $4,000 to the Red Cross for Pakistan flood relief.
Ford Motor Co. of Canada Ltd. and Magnuson Ford hosted a Drive One 4 UR Community fundraising event that raised $2,520 for the Abbotsford Food Bank.
