Vancouver's Intrinsyc Software International Inc. (TSX:ICS) has opened an office in Taipei, Taiwan, to serve as a business and engineering hub for the company's Asia-Pacific customers.
The move by the handheld device software developer is part of its plan to expand its U.S. and U.K. markets to include Asia's wireless, silicon and hardware providers.
The Taiwan office will accelerate the company's ability to bring its products to market in the Asia-Pacific region and lower its development costs.
Intrinsyc also announced an engineering services agreement with a Taiwan-based wireless devices company Original Equipment Manufacturer to provide software for the OEM company's products.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
