Vancouver's Versatile Systems Inc. (TSX-V:VV) has signed a deal with U.S. furniture retail giant La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries to have Versatile's secure self-serve kiosks in its stores.
La-Z-Boy will use Versatile's Mobiquity kiosks to help customers apply for in-store credit. The use of the kiosks is expected to increase speed and efficiency while providing customers more security by avoiding the manual process of providing sensitive personal information to a sales people. Customers will apply using the kiosks that are connected to credit providers.
In June, Versatile reported sales of US$18 million for its fourth quarter, up from US$12.4 million in its third quarter ending March 31, 2007.
