MDA to upgrade B.C. Land Title and Survey Authority systems

Richmond-headquartered MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX:MDA) has won the contract to modernize and upgrade the information systems of B.C.'s Land Title and Survey Authority (LTSA).

The $13.5-million contract will include enhancing the search and filing functionality of the LTSA's system and development of new customer portals for legal professionals and land surveyors.

MDA will also provide maintenance support for the existing land title register during the modernization process and support for the new registry after the upgrades are complete.

The deal is a continuation of MDA's long relationship with the LTSA, which began in 1999 with MDA's development of BC Online, which now represents over 50% of B.C.'s land title transaction volumes.
