Burnaby's MetroBridge Networks International Inc. (TSX-V:MEB) has picked up Salt Lake City, Utah-based Utah Broadband LLC in its recent buying spree.
The US$5.4 million deal comes two weeks after MetroBridge bought Winnipeg-based WiBand Communications Corp. for $9 million.
MetroBridge's Utah acquisition will add 3,000 customers and more than US$2.2 million in annual revenue.
Utah LLC provides broadband services to six counties, including Salt Lake City, Provo and Park City.
MetroBridge said it plans to fund the deal with US$4 million in cash and US$1.4 million in MetroBridge shares.
The deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval, is expected to close early in 2008.
