The latest container crane bought by TSI Terminal Systems Inc. from Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery Co. Ltd. is aboard a ship anchored in English Bay and scheduled to be installed at Vanterm in the coming weeks.

The crane, which is ZPMC's 1000th crane sold and the sixth bought by TSI, will be able to lift two containers simultaneously.

TSI has been expanding the Port of Vancouver's ability to service larger ships and increase Vanterm's container capacity to 850,000 TEUs.

In 2006, TSI handled 1.88 million TEUs of containers at Vanterm and Deltaport.
