Michelle Kitchen joins DDB Canada as vice-president, business director. She was previously senior manager at Cossette West.

Carolyn Smith has joined Pereira PR as account co-ordinator. She previously worked in television operations with the Olympic Broadcasting Services.

Mary Lynn Young has been appointed associate dean, communications and strategy, in the faculty of arts at UBC. She succeeds Kathryn Harrison. Young was previously director of the UBC School of Journalism.

Philip Von Stefenelli has been promoted to trucking operations manager at Urban Impact. He was previously trucking operations planner.

Linda Nowlan has been appointed as director of Pacific conservation at WWF Canada. She was previously executive director of West Coast Environmental Law, a UBC faculty research associate and an adviser to the environment department of the UK Foreign Office. She is also founder and former board president of Smart Growth BC.

Jane Ince has joined Pan Pacific Whistler as public and media relations specialist. She is principal of JI Media Connections.

Christoph Clodius has joined KCI Ketchum Canada as senior consultant, recruitment and talent management. He previously worked in professional fundraising and strategic planning with UBC’s faculty of forestry, faculty of arts and Sauder School of Business.

Trish Brydon has joined Mercer Bradley as senior partner. She was previously recruiting manager and division director with Robert Half Canada and she founded Optim People Partners.

Jennifer Poirier and Ian Graf have joined Borden Ladner Gervais LLP as associates. Poirier previously articled with the company and Graf was an associate at Shearman and Sterling LLP.

Samantha Fenton has joined Lawson Lundell LLP as an associate. She was previously with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.

Correction: Sukh Sidhu of RE/MAX Little Oak Realty has been appointed president of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board, where he was previously president-elect and a director.

Steve Laver has joined Sotheby’s International Realty Canada as COO and partner at Blueprint Global Marketing. He was previously president of Intrawest’s playground destination properties, partner at Trammell Crow Co., president at Brookfield Management Services and founding partner at Bentall Capital. Laver also co-founded Forte International.

George Lim has been appointed to the board of Artha Resources Corp. He is the CFO of Dundarave Resources Inc. and is on the board of Eurasian Mineral Inc. He was previously CFO of Potash One Inc. and Energy Metals Corp.

Greg Hahn has been appointed president and CEO of Canamex Resources Corp. He is principal of Greg Hahn Consulting LLC. He was previously a founding director of Marathon PGM Corp., interim president and CEO of Metalline Mining Co. and president, CEO and director of Constellation Copper Corp.

Alan Edwards has been appointed to the board of Entrée Gold Inc. He is the president and CEO of Copper One Inc. He was previously president and CEO of Frontera Copper Corp. and executive vice-president and COO of Apex Silver Mines Corp.

Sidney Robinson and Victor Gobitz have been appointed to the board of Rio Alto Mining Ltd. Robinson was senior partner of Torys LLP and is on the board of Amerigo Resources Inc., Chartwell Seniors Housing Real Estate Investment Trust and Butterfield & Robinson Inc. Gobitz is CEO of Corporacion Minera Castrovirreyna, director of the Peruvian Mining Safety Institute and a board member of the Peruvian Corps of Engineers, chapter of mining engineers.
