Archie Johnston has been appointed national industry leader for KPMG’s Canadian public-sector practice. He currently chairs the Institute of Chartered Accountants in BC’s public-sector and not-for-profit committee. Johnston was previously chair and a member of certain Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants public-sector accounting board taskforces, director of the Government Finance Officers Association of BC and president of the Surrey Board of Trade.
Lianne Elias and Heather Ritzer have joined Peak Communicators as account executive and research co-ordinator, respectively. Elias was previously media co-ordinator of LiveCity Vancouver, 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games for Edelman Vancouver and managing editor and media relations manager for Digital Ocean Marketing. Ritzer was previously a public relations intern with Nature’s Path Foods and a communications intern with the Burnaby Board of Trade.

Bill Wright has been appointed COO of Union Securities Ltd. He was previously director, chief compliance officer and COO at Bolder Investment Partners Ltd., and senior vice-president at both First Associate Investments Inc. and Yorkton Securities Inc.
