Brian Bentz and Gerri Sinclair have been appointed to the board of the Vancouver Airport Authority. Bentz is proprietor of Brian Bentz Consulting; he was previously president, oilsands and mining, and president, project investments, Americas at AMEC plc and president and CEO of Simons International Corp. Sinclair founded NCompass Labs and was previously CEO of the Centre for Digital Media and director of the masters of digital media program operated by SFU, UBC, BCIT and Emily Carr University of Art + Design and general manager of MSN Canada.
Geoff Parkin has been elected president of the Mortgage Brokers Association of BC. He is co-owner of Verico Select Mortgage Corp. and chair of the finance committee for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Margot White has joined Weber Shandwick Canada as vice-president and office leader, Vancouver. She was previously director of policy development and communications for the College of Dental Surgeons of BC and principal of Margot White Communications.
Anne Lavack and Jane Fee have joined Kwantlen Polytechnic University as provost and associate vice-president, academic; and vice-president, academic, respectively. Lavack was previously dean of the faculty of business administration and associate dean and director of the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business at the University of Regina. Fee was previously associate dean of arts and social sciences at Simon Fraser University.
James Hurren has been appointed CFO of CBM Asia Development Corp., where he was previously interim CFO.
Patricia Shorr has been appointed as a director of Sky Harvest Windpower Corp. She is principal of Spectrum Capital Corp. She was previously assistant vice-president of First City Bank, financial analyst for W.R. Grace & Co. and staff auditor for Touche Ross & Co.
Yuri Fulmer, Peter Leitch and Catherine Osler have joined the board of North Shore Credit Union. Fulmer is chair and CEO of FDC Capital, chair of the United Way of the Lower Mainland, vice-chair of the Vancouver Opera and Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver, a governor of Kwantlen Polytechnic University and a director of the Vancouver Foundation. Leitch is president of North Shore Studios and Mammoth Studios, chair of the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of BC and director of the Burnaby Board of Trade.
