Pommashea Noel-Bentley has joined the BC Institute of Technology (BCIT) as vice-president of alumni and development and CEO of the BCIT Foundation. She was previously vice-president of resource development with United Way of the Lower Mainland.
Elissa Meiklem has been appointed executive director of the Northern Bioenergy Partnership. She was previously with Tembec Forest Products and Poyry Forest Industry Consulting.
Jay Sutton has been promoted to vice-president, hydro, and Paul Rapp to vice-president, Wind, at Plutonic Power Corp.
David Wong has been appointed to the board of Vancity, filling a position vacated by director Ian Gill, who resigned to relocate to Australia. Wong is currently vice-president and master limited partnerships controller for Teekay Corp. He previously worked for BC Hydro, Powerex Corp. and Ernst and Young.
Wayne Fast has been appointed COO of Trincan Capital Corp. He is currently vice-president of operations and corporate planning for Georox Resources Inc. Fast was previously vice-president of operations at RSX Energy Inc.
Scot Sheeler has joined Sterling Shoes Inc. as vice-president, store operations. He was previously president and CEO of Advanced Electronics and vice-president, stores (Zellers western region), for the Hudson’s Bay Co.
John Gleason has been appointed president and CEO of 4Refuel Canada LP. He was previously president of Superior Propane and Superior Plus Energy Services.
Ed Baklor has been appointed executive vice-president, guest services, for Rocky Mountaineer. He was previously a senior executive with Disney.
Amy Davison (construction, engineering, surety and fidelity), Serge Lakatos (commercial real estate) and Randy Morphy (tax) have been made partners at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. All were formerly associates at the firm. Davison was called to the B.C. bar in 2005. Lakatos was called to the Alberta bar in 2005 and B.C. bar in 2007. Morphy was called to the B.C. bar in 2005. Sarah Hudson (commercial litigation; appeal and review) has returned to Borden Ladner Gervais as an associate after completing her LLM at the University of Cambridge.
Michal Jaworski has joined Richards Buell Sutton LLP as an associate with the commercial real estate team and in the corporate department. He was previously with Clark Wilson. Jaworski was called to the B.C. bar in 2006.
Jennifer Woznesensky has joined the partnership of Harper Grey LLP. She is currently vice-chair of the firm’s insurance law group, a director of the B.C. chapter of the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade and a member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association, the Medical Legal Society of BC, the Trial Lawyers’ Association of BC and the Vancouver Bar Association.

Shirley Zhou has been appointed vice-president of corporate communications for International Tower Hill Mines Ltd. She was previously corporate communications manager for Silvercorp Metals Inc.
Jeff Finkelstein has been appointed CFO and treasurer of Argentex Mining Corp., replacing Valerie Helsing, who has resigned due to personal commitments. He was previously with Silver Standard Resources and Sierra Geothermal Power.

McDonald is a former Yukon premier.

John Burgess and John Kerr have joined Teslin River Resources Corp. as president and vice-president of exploration, respectively. Burgess was previously president and CEO of Queensgate Resources. Kerr currently runs a geological consulting practice.
