Wendy Grant-John has joined Deloitte’s national aboriginal client services practice as senior adviser.

Wendy Grant-John has joined Deloitte’s national aboriginal client services practice as senior adviser. She was previously chief of the Musqueam First Nations, regional vice-chief to the Assembly of First Nations, and co-chair of the renewal commission for the assembly of first nations.

Lisa Blackburn has joined Saint Bernadine Mission Communications Inc. as a production artist. She was previously a Mac artist at Taxi Vancouver and Indentica.

Sandra Stoddart-Hansen has been appointed chair and Teara Fraser and Mike Hooper have joined the BC Aviation Council. Stoddart-Hansen was previously regional diector of Transport Canada, president of Alpha Aviation and general manager of Boundary Bay Airport. Fraser is president of Kisik Aerial Survey Inc. and Hooper is CEO of the Nanaimo Airport Authority.

John Challis has joined the board of Newcastle Resources Ltd. He is president and CEO of the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research and university professor emeritus, University of Toronto, departments of physiology, medicine and obstetrics and gynaecology.

Don Zadravec has been appointed vice-president at NATIONAL Public Relations. He was previously senior consultant and a director.

Nadine Miller has been appointed chair of the board of the Canadian Construction Association. She is vice-president of JJM Construction Ltd.

Darcy Rezak has retired as managing director of the Vancouver Board of Trade (VBOT). Grayden Hayward will serve as interim managing director. He was previously a director and the secretary-treasurer of the VBOT.

Barb West, Bob Power and Yong-Jae Kim have joined the board of the Greater Vancouver Community Services Society. West is a consultant at Accenture, Power is president of Touchstone Consulting and Kim is an associate at Gowlings LLP.

Warren Erhart, president and CEO of White Spot Hospitality, was elected chair of the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association.

Michelle Jones has been appointed international B2B marketing manager in Flight Centre’s Corporate Traveller-branded division, replacing Sue Robinson. Jones was previously director of marketing at Trafalgar Tours.

Jonathan Liteplo has joined Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP as partner in the energy and utilities practice. He was previously at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP.

William Gee has joined the board of and has succeeded Robert Barker as CEO of Evolving Gold Corp. Barker will remain on the board. Gee was previously vice-president of corporate development with Fronteer Development Group, and NewWest Gold, exploration-acquisitions analyst with Newmont Mining and director of corporate development with Harrods Minerals.

Peter Ball has been appointed executive vice-president of corporate development at Argentex Mining Corp. He was previously vice-president of investor relations for Century Mining Corp.

Pierre Gratton has been appointed president and CEO of the Mining Association of Canada (MAC), replacing Gordon Peeling. He was previously president and CEO of the Mining Association of BC and vice-president, sustainability and public affairs, at MAC.

Steven Cuthill has been appointed to the board of Belvedere Resources Ltd. He is CFO and secretary of Belvedere.

Dan Johnson has joined Curis Resources Ltd. as manager of environment and technical services. He was previously technical services and environmental manager/director at QuadraFNX.

Jordan Estra and Eric Allison have joined the board and Keith Margetson has been appointed CFO of Meadow Bay Capital Corp. Estra has been a leading research analyst and global metals/mining team leader for UBS, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and Oppenheimer. Allison is the managing director and chief geologist at Casimir Capital LP and was previously a director and vice-president at Sempra Commodities. Margetson is a member of the BC Institute of Chartered Accountants. Dan Forigo and Terry Fields have resigned from the board.

Bill Threlkeld has been appointed a director of Gold Standard Ventures Corp. and Rob Mcleod has resigned as director but will remain an adviser. Jim Anthony and Rudi Fronk have joined the advisory board. Threlkeld is senior vice-president, Anthony is chair of the board and a founder, and Fronk is director, president and CEO of Seabridge Gold.

John Wallace has joined the board of Rapid Electric Vehicles Inc. He was previously CEO for Xantrex Technology, Inc. and president of Ford Microelectronics, Inc.

John Vickerstaff and Earnest Beaudin have joined and Maurice Lees and James Southcott have resigned from the board of Uniserve Communications Corp. Vickerstaff is CEO of Network Bonding and Insurance Services Inc. and is governor of the Better Business Bureau for B.C. Beaudin is president, general counsel and CEO of Decker Management Ltd. and a founding partner of Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP. He is lead director and chair of the corporate governance committee for the Great Canadian Gaming Corp.
