Suzanne Bays has joined PricewaterhouseCoopers’ consulting practice as associate partner. She previously formed Baymont IT Consulting and was with Trapeze Software.

Stanley Hamilton, professor emeritus at the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business, has been appointed chair of the BC Arts Council (BCAC). He was previously interim chair and vice-chair of the BCAC board. Jackson Davies, who played the role of John Constable in TV’s Beachcombers, has been appointed vice-chair. Merla Beckerman, Gordon Harris and Lori Marchand have been added as members of the BCAC board, replacing Marie Clements, Jane Danzo and Neel Dhillon.

Craig Barnsley has been elected president of the BC Association of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. He is currently deputy assessor, South Fraser region, for BC Assessment.

Scott Layne, Larry Bridger and Carl Dunaway have been appointed regional vice-presidents, sales, for, respectively, U.S. North, U.S. South and U.S. West and Canada, at Nexterra Systems Corp. Layne was previously zone leader within Siemens Industry, Inc.’s building technologies division. Bridger was previously regional business development manager of services for ABB. Dunaway was previously Nexterra’s director of sales.

Aaron Friesen-Metta has been appointed managing director, sales, for Know Your Financial Advisor. She was previously director of sales for CIBC Asset Management.

Peter Larose has been appointed director and Lauren Bond manager, industry workforce development, for go2. Larose replaces John Leschyson, who has retired. Larose was previously with the Council of Tourism Associations. Bond was previously HR team lead for VANOC.

Daniel Katzin joins Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (FMC) as an associate in the corporate/commercial and mining groups. He was called to the B.C. bar in September 2010. Elsa Adamick joins FMC as an associate in the litigation and dispute resolution group. She recently completed her articling with the firm. Devin Kanhai joins FMC as an associate in the corporate/commercial group. He previously articled with the firm and was called to the B.C. bar in September 2010.

David Kirsop and Ross Goldsworthy have been appointed to the board of Ridley Terminals Inc. Kirsop is currently a partner with Urban Systems Ltd. Goldsworthy is currently president of R. Goldsworthy Consulting Ltd. and was previously vice-president of Canadian National Railway.

Ian Smith has been appointed to the board of Bolero Resources Corp. He is currently president and CEO of Santa Fe Metals Corp. and CEO of Yellowhead Mining Corp. Smith was previously president and CEO of bcMetals Corp.

David Clarke has been appointed president and CEO of Canterra Minerals Corp., as well as a director of the company. He was previously vice-president of exploration for Canterra. Randy Turner, former president, will assume the role of executive chair.

Misac Nabighian has joined Lake Victoria Mining Co., Inc. as a consultant. He is a senior scientist at the Colorado School of Mines and was previously senior consulting geophysicist at Newmont Mining.

Jean-Philippe Desrochers has been appointed chief geologist for Eagle Hill Exploration Corp. He was previously vice-president of exploration for Murgor Resources Inc.

Stephen Frasher has resigned as president and CEO of Western Forest Products Inc. Dominic Gammiero, the company’s chair, has been re-appointed CEO.

Robert McKnight has been appointed executive vice-president of Nevada Copper Corp. He was previously with Selwyn Resources.

John Pattison has been appointed to the board of VMS Ventures Inc. He was previously chief geologist with Exploration Syndicate, Inc.

Adrian Van de Mosselaer has been promoted from senior vice-president to president and CEO of RockBridge Resources Inc. He has also joined the company’s board. Gary Mathiesen has been named CFO.

Luis Mercado has been appointed to the board of New World Resource Corp. He is currently president of Empresa Minera Unificada S.A.

Thor Eaton has joined the board of Lateegra Gold Corp. He is currently chair of Notae Investments Ltd. and the Eaton Foundation and a director of Attwell Capital Inc., West Timmins Mining Inc. and Metaris Inc. Robert Duess has been appointed vice-president, exploration, for Lateegra. He was previously senior technical consultant to West Timmins and director and vice-president, exploration, for Band-Ore Resources. Patrick Morris has resigned as director of Lateegra.
