PepsiCo Canada (NYSE:PEP) has been busy making friends in the sporting arena countrywide.
The company announced two deals last week. One will see PepsiCo Canada Beverages continue as the official non-alcoholic beverage supplier at BC Place. PepsiCo Canada Foods has also partnered with Canada’s newest NHL team, the Winnipeg Jets.
The renewal of PepsiCo’s multi-year partnership with BC Place was announced Friday and gives the company exclusive rights to supply all non-alcoholic beverages right down to cold coffees and teas at BC Place.
“We've had a great working relationship with PepsiCo Canada, which has been our exclusive supplier for more than 25 years," Howard Crosley, general manager of BC Place, said in a press release.
"We're delighted that our close working relationship will continue, as we open the doors on the new BC Place.”
PepsiCo Foods Canada, through its Lay’s brand, announced its deal with the Winnipeg Jets Wednesday. The deal will run until the end of the 2015-2016 NHL season and will see Lay’s as the official potato chip of the hockey team.
"We couldn't be happier to have Lay's on board as the official potato chip sponsor of the Winnipeg Jets," said Jim Ludlow, president and CEO, True North Sports Entertainment. "This is a very exciting partnership opportunity for our organization.”
