Vancouver's CIBT Education Group Inc. (TSX-V:MBA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Thompson Rivers University and Vancouver Community College to allow students from CIBT China to complete a bachelor's degree at TRU.
Mainland Chinese students having completed a two-year business administration or computer sciences programs will be able to work toward a degree at TRU after completing a nine- to 12-month English upgrading and learning program at VCC.
This deal adds to similar agreements CIBT has made with post-secondary institutions in Australia and the U.K. As of September 30, the company had more than 1,000 students enrolled in its overseas degree programs, up from more than 850 in 2007.
