Vancouver-based private education provider CIBT Education Group Inc. (TSX:MBA) plans to establish a job placement centre to help its students find work after graduation.
The call centre will be located in Manila and will contact HR departments of multinational companies to ascertain hiring needs and follow up with a list of video resumes professionally prepared by CIBT to showcase its graduates.
It will serve the CIBT School of Business in China, the Sprott-Shaw group of colleges and the KGIC International colleges in Canada.
The company’s existing campuses in the Philippines will also provide training for call-centre operators, generating employment opportunities for graduates of CIBT’s call centre operator program.
For the nine-month period ending May 31, CIBT reported a 12.7% increase in revenue to $35.8 million from $31.8 million. Net profit for the period rose to $1.2 million from $202,277.
