Retired U.S. Navy SEAL commander James Liddy will head a new integrated security division of Vancouver's OSI Geospatial Inc. (TSX:OSI).

Retired U.S. Navy SEAL commander James Liddy will head a new integrated security division of Vancouver's OSI Geospatial Inc. (TSX:OSI).

The new business unit, doing business as Layered Security Solutions, will provide vulnerability assessments and technology, as well as operational solutions for government and businesses, related to potential threats to infrastructure that would have a significant impact on business and national security.

OSI said business concern for protection of its infrastructure is a growing market, with global spending expected to increase to US$56 billion by 2015, from US$23 billion in 2006. OSI's share price range during the past week: between $0.66 and $0.68; 52-week high: $1.10; 52-week low: $0.56.
