Revenue drops, loss increases for Vancouver's Pacific Rim Mining

Annual revenue for Vancouver's Pacific Rim Mining Corp. (TSX:PMU) fell 8% while its net loss rose 35% for the year ending April 30. According to the company, the drop in revenue to $7.7 million from $8.

Annual revenue for Vancouver's Pacific Rim Mining Corp. (TSX:PMU) fell 8% while its net loss rose 35% for the year ending April 30.

According to the company, the drop in revenue to $7.7 million from $8.3 million in 2007 was due primarily to lower gold production at its Denton-Rawhide mine in Nevada.

Pacific Rim added that its net loss, which jumped to $12.7 million from $9.4 million, resulted from increased mining operation costs, exploration expenditures and general and administrative costs.
