Burnaby-headquartered Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (TSX, NYSE: RBA) is moving out of its oldest permanent auction site in Surrey to one that is triple the size in Chilliwack.
The company is hosting its first unreserved public auction at its new 24-acre site March 24, closing the doors of the Surrey facility Ritchie Bros. had used since 1979.
The new facility hosts a 28,000-square-foot auction building with two auction theatres and capacity for more than 900 people.
More than 1,450 equipment items will be listed at the auction from hydraulic excavators to consumer goods and attachments.
Ritchie Bros.' share price range during the past week: between $21.98 and $22.75; 52-week high: $31; 52-week low: $18.17.
