Russell Breweries Inc. (TSX-V:RB) will be selling its beer in Washington state thanks to a distribution partnership with King Beverage Inc.

“It’s a good move for us,” Russell Breweries CEO Brian Harris told Business in Vancouver March 23.

“The Pacific Northwest is a hotbed of craft beers. It’s a developed market and [King Beverage] thinks our style of beer will do very well down there.”

Harris considers King Beverage to be one of the top Anheuser-Busch (NYSE:BUD) distributors in the U.S.

His Surrey-based beer company will introduce its Brewmaster series in the Spokane area and then expand from there.

Few details of the partnership were available, but Harris believes that his company could expand significantly.

“It could take 18 months to two years to see it come on track, but it could double our business.”

BIV ranked Russell Brewing No. 6 on the 2010 list of the top 100 fastest-growing companies in B.C.
