Sierra Wireless acquires Seattle wireless router company

Richmond's Sierra Wireless (TSX:SW; Nasdaq:SWIR) has bought Seattle-based Junxion, a privately held developer of corporate wireless routers, for an undisclosed amount.

Richmond's Sierra Wireless (TSX:SW; Nasdaq:SWIR) has bought Seattle-based Junxion, a privately held developer of corporate wireless routers, for an undisclosed amount.

Junxion's assets will be incorporated into Sierra Wireless' mobile and M2M product portfolio. The company has its routers deployed in more than 1,300 locations.

Junxion had reportedly been seeking a buyer for the past few months.

Sierra Wireless' share price range during the past week: between $12.43 and $13.17; 52-week high: $24.79; 52-week low: $12.21.
