Great Panther Resources Ltd. (TSX:GPR) has reported a 378% increase in earnings to $1.9 million for the first quarter of 2008 compared with the same quarter a year earlier.
Revenue for the Vancouver-based company from mineral sales increased 55% to $6.5 million in the quarter compared with $4.2 million for the same quarter last year.
Silver output increased 36% to 432,639 ounces in 2008's first quarter compared with 318,443 in 2007's first quarter.
Great Panther, which focused on silver production from Mexico, owns 100% interest in two mines in the country and is exploring two others.
