Sales for Silvercorp Metals Inc. (TSX:SVM) doubled to US$26.8 million for the fourth quarter ending March 31, 2008, compared with US$13.4 million a year earlier.
The Vancouver-based company's annual sales increased 172% to US$108.4 million compared with its previous fiscal year.
For the fourth quarter, Silvercorp, whose mining efforts are focused exclusively on China, sold:
US$12.9 million worth of silver at an average per-ounce price of US$12.89; US$226,746 worth of gold at an per-ounce price of US$491.86;
US$12.4 million worth of lead at an average per-pound price of US$1.06; and
US$1.3 million worth of zinc at an average per-pound price of US$.055.
