Nominees for Small Business BC’s Successful You Awards were announced yesterday. The top five finalists will be announced on January 30, 2012.
This provincewide contest recognizes and celebrates the important contributions of B.C.’s entrepreneurs to their local communities and the wider global economy.
Nominations were received from 15 communities across B.C. and selected by residents who benefit from these businesses. Votes collected online.
The field has been narrowed to 10 finalists in six categories, including best community impact, best company, best concept, best employer, best green business and best online marketer.
A panel of judges will now review the top 10’s submitted applications and select the top five finalists in each category.
Finalists will be asked to present a 10-minute business pitch, followed by a question and answer led by the judges.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on February 28 in Vancouver.
