Finning International Inc. (TSX: CA:FTT) announced Friday that the hourly employees of its Canadian division, represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers - Local 692, have approved a new four-year collective agreement.
The agreement covers approximately 700 Finning Canada employees in B.C. and Yukon and expires on April 14, 2015.
It ends the work stoppage in B.C., which began on June 22, and employees are expected to return to work starting today.
The workers had rejected a previous collective agreement offer in July. (See “Finning strike continues after union rejects offer”– BIV Business Today, July 18.)
The new agreement provides for annual wage increases of 4% in year 1, 3% in years 2 and 3 and 4% in year 4.
