Vancouver-based Westport Innovations Inc. (TSX:WPT) has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to list its shares in the U.S.
The developer of alternative fuel systems for truck engines plans to offer its shares on the Nasdaq under the proposed symbol WPRT. In preparation for the U.S. listing, the company consolidated its shares on a 3.5-to-one basis.
The share consolidation would also affect its shares traded on the TSX. Post-consolidated shares are expected to begin trading on July 24.
