A Vancouver box and packaging manufacturer continues to expand in the downturn. The Great Little Box Company has acquired Delta-based Parrot Label for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition is GLBC's fifth acquisition in six years. Since 2002, GLBC has focused on increasing its market share to become one of the largest packaging manufacturers in B.C.

In 2007 it established its own folding cartons and rigid boxes division after acquiring Delta-based Boxstar Industries. The company's label division was established in 2006 with the acquisition of C. Davis Enterprises.

The acquisition of Parrot Label will add depth to GLBC's label division and expand its market share in B.C. Founded in 1982, Parrot Label has seen steady growth and has produced product labels for London Drugs and Canada Post.
