Vancouver's General Motors Place will host Canada's 2009 Juno Award ceremony on March 29, 2009, the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and broadcast partner CTV announced September 9.
The Juno Awards are presented annually to Canadian music artists and bands to acknowledge artistic and technical achievements.
New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame are inducted as part of the ceremony.
The awards extravaganza will cap a four-day flurry of local concerts and other events throughout Vancouver.
The last few Juno Award ceremonies were held in Calgary (2008), Saskatoon (2007) and Halifax (2006).
In April 2008, 1.45 million Canadians watched Russell Peters host the 2008 Juno Awards. That made it the CTV's second most watched Juno Awards broadcast.
