Creation Technologies Inc., a rapidly growing Vancouver-based electronics manufacturer, solidified its global standing by announcing that it has bought Wheeling, Illinois-based Circuit Service, Inc. and its Chinese subsidiary Changzhou CSI Ltd. for an undisclosed amount.
Creation, which ranked No. 39 on Business in Vancouver's most recent list of B.C.'s largest private companies, has now made six acquisitions in the past five years.
The deals helped increase Creation's revenue to $332 million in 2007. That's up from $283 million in 2006, $207 million in 2005 and $163 million in 2005.
Its latest acquisition is aimed at expanding Creation's footprint in middle America and establishing a foothold in China for future Asian expansion.
"A key element of Creation's commitment to excellence is broadening our North American and Asian footprint to support and grow our customer base," said Creation's president and CEO Arthur Tymos.
He added that Circuit Service offers similar service, technical capabilities, profit momentum and growth opportunities manufacturing complex electronic products.
"[Circuit Service] will only serve to enhance and reinforce our existing operations and customer offerings."
