A group of private investors has acquired the business of Vancouver's Marqui Inc., which provides marketing automation and website content management.
The company had fallen into receivership in June despite having double-digit quarterly growth in 2007.
New investors into the company include SIL Enterprises, Krystal Financial Corp., Abraxus Holdings and Ogilvie Communications.
WaterTrax CEO Lance Neale will become the company's new CEO. He replaces outgoing president Dale Borland. James Griffiths will be CFO, adding to his role as CFO at WaterTrax.
Most Marqui employees have agreed to stay on with the company.
Neale noted the new investors were attracted to the company's main product, employees and significant customer base across North America.
Marqui's customers include the Phoenix Suns, the Ford Motor Company, Honda, the Vancouver Whitecaps, Grouse Mountain, BC Ferries and the David Suzuki Foundation.
