Burnaby's WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW) is partnering with Cleveland, Ohio-based TMW Systems Inc. to create a combined fleet management system for the trucking industry.
The partnership will allow TMW to use WebTech's WT7000 locators with TMW's D2Link mobile communications software. The agreement will create a more complete fleet management system using TMW's driver-side D2Link cellular handset technology with the advanced vehicle GPS location and telematics data provided by WebTech's Bluetooth-enabled in-vehicle locators.
The system will give trucking companies and their drivers the ability to accurately monitor a wide range of vehicle location, use and engine diagnostics data.
