High employee retention rates and overall employee pride has helped White Spot Restaurants win the Employees First Award from go2, B.C.’s tourism and hospitality human resource association.

The win by the 82-year-old chain provides lessons for other restaurateurs on how to improve staff retention and satisfaction.

“White Spot does an exceptional job at providing ongoing training and development and this is reflected in their high staff retention rates and employee satisfaction,” said go2 CEO Arlene Keis. “They even highlight their Red Seal trained cooks in their consumer advertising which is a brilliant way to attract customers and employees at the same time.”
