Tofino’s Wickaninnish Inn has been recognized as the top-rated Canadian accommodation property for the fourth time by Travel + Leisure magazine’s World’s Best Travel Awards 2010 reader’s survey.
It also ranked fourth among all resorts that have 40 rooms or more in Canada and the continental U.S. and 46th among all resorts worldwide.
Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Travel Awards 2010 reader’s survey has readers rate hotels based on facilities, location, service, restaurants and overall value. The most recent survey was conducted in December 2009.
The only other Canadian hotel to appear in the global rankings was the Post Hotel in Lake Louise, which was rated the fifth best resort in Canada and the continental U.S. and 49th worldwide.
Whistler’s Four Seasons Resort (36th) was the only other B.C.-based resort to rank in the top 50 resorts in Canada and the continental U.S..
The Wickaninnish Inn and the Post Hotel are members of the Relais & Chateaux family of resort properties.
