Woodward’s Redevelopment Project subcontractor Allan Window Technologies Inc. is suing contractor W Redevelopment Group Inc. and former land owner 101 West Hastings Holding Ltd. over unpaid labour and supplies of more than $2 million.

Woodward’s Redevelopment Project subcontractor Allan Window Technologies Inc. is suing contractor W Redevelopment Group Inc. and former land owner 101 West Hastings Holding Ltd. over unpaid labour and supplies of more than $2 million.

According to the BC Supreme Court suit filed March 28, Allan Window Technologies is suing W Redevelopment for $2,050,267 and seeking a lien against the property for unpaid supplies and labour to install aluminum windows and doors for the project.

Allan Windows Technologies alleges that W Redevelopment breached seven subcontracts dated March 19, 2007.

Allan Window Technologies is further suing W Redevelopment for $111,842 for window storage charges incurred when the project fell behind its construction schedule and couldn’t accommodate the installation of windows when they were delivered.

Additionally, Allan Window Technologies is suing W Redevelopment for $949,999 in labour costs, which it incurred when it provided installation crews in reliance upon the construction schedule – “only to be advised on attendance that the windows could not be installed.”

Allan Windows Technologies is further suing W Redevelopment for change orders and extras totaling $135,688.
